1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV

Chassis number: AR1505003

The first design by SIRP, a company founded by Giorgetto Giugiaro which became Italdesign shortly after, was this prototype designed for the Alfa Romeo’s Centro Stile (design centre). It is a Coupe model to replace the Giulia GT, and which has the mechanics of the new 1750 model. The only prototype made was never exhibited in public as it was considered too advanced for production. The design was adopted six years later for the Alfetta GT, which came out in 1974.
