1998 Isotta Fraschini T8

In 1993 Fissore bought the Isotta Fraschini brand from Finmeccanica with the intention of relaunching the name in the automotive field. Soon the T8 model was developed, of which some prototypes are built.

The Isotta Fraschini T8 is based on the chassis of the Audi A8, in the hope of selling the entire project to the German brand. The engine is that of Audi on two of the prototypes while the other two are powered by Ford Mustangs units. The project included a version called T12, with 12-cylinder engine. The bodies, coupé and cabriolet, were designed by Tom Tjaarda.

The first prototype of the T8 was shown to the public at the Paris Motor Show in 1998, but Audi was buying Lamborghini at the same time and the project is stopped. The entire series of prototypes and equipment is saved from demolition by Corrado Lopresto and two T8s are restored as evidence of this historic episode.
