Debut in Salvarola Terme for the Diatto 20S
The Concours d'Elegance Trofeo Salvarola Terme, inaugurated in 2018. This year like the past one the event, has gathered high level cars, dedicating a great space for Fiat. Winner of the Best in Show was the Fiat 1500 Cabriolet Pinin Farina of 1940.
The Lopresto Collection has chosen Salvarola for the debut of a pre-war masterpiece which restoration has just completed.
It is the Diatto 20S Torpedo "Bateau" of 1923 with bodywork of the french Mouche&Cie. Greatest example of style of the "Roaring 20s" this elegant car has been brought back in Italy from Japan and restored in the original color but keeping intact the original interior. The mechanics, in the 20S sport version is the one which Alfieri Maserati drove a the time, official driver of Diatto.
At Salvarola, the Diatto was awarded with the second place in the category "l'auto del bisnonno" behind a Lancia Astura Pinin Farina of 1934. Awarded also for "best interior".
The Lopresto Collection participates at the Concours of Salvarola Terme since 2005 and could boast a palmares of 12 awards including a Best in Show and six first prize of class. Below the complete list
