The Lopresto Collection in collaboration with the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts - IED Network of Como give life to the exhibition "The Lopresto Collection - history of car design and restoration of vintage automobiles" which will be held inside the ADI Design Museum from Milan.
An exhibition project that on the one hand focuses on automotive design and its conservation through the display of some unique examples from the Collection, designed by the most famous names in automotive design of the 20th century, retracing an evolution that starts from the years of the custom-built cars early post-war years up to the prototypes of the 70s and 80s.
On the other hand, the Galli academy with the students of the Pfp2 profile restoration course will take care of the conservative restoration of the Fiat 2100 car with Savio custom-built bodywork from 1961. The project will be divided into different work phases and some of them will be carried out during the exhibition and visible to all visitors.
Furthermore, on January 29th the entire conservative restoration intervention will be presented with all the processing phases and a summary of the final result.
Through 6 unique examples we will retrace the great change that occurred over the course of a few decades in the style and creation processes of the automobile.
The car display will also be enriched by the presence of stylish scale models, coming from the design studios of Alfa Romeo, Bertone, Tjaarda. Romana Zambon's photographs depicting one of the cars from the collection will also be on display.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on January 10, 2024 with an event at 6 pm, and will continue until January 30, with a closing event and presentation of the car's restoration on the morning of January 29.
