From September 1 to 4, 2026, the Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run took place, a special event dedicated to historic automobiles that returned after a fourteen-year hiatus. The approximately 600-kilometre route began at Villa Pisani, near Venice, crossed the Dolomites and finished in Monza, where the participating cars paraded on the circuit during the Italian Grand Prix weekend.
Among the highlights of this edition was the 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Spider Aprile from the Lopresto Collection.
Originally fitted with a Zagato Spider body, the car belongs to the supercharged Gran Sport version, the most sporting variant of the 6C 1750. In 1938, it was acquired by the Aprile coachbuilder in Savona, which completely rebuilt the bodywork to a new design created by Mario Revelli de Beaumont. The result is a one-of-a-kind automobile, combining the elegance of its coachwork with the performance of Alfa Romeo mechanicals.
Restored to its original intended appearance, the 6C 1750 GS Aprile has received numerous international accolades over the years, including the Coppa d’Oro at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and several Best in Show awards.
