The Giulietta SS captures Villa d'Este
After 60 years from the debut, at the Salone di Torino in 1957, the prototype of Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale is back to be admire by the italian public at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2017.
After the great success of last year at Pebble Beach, where the SS took the 3rd place of class and the award "Most Elegant Closed Car", this year the car has convinced the jury and the public of the most important concours of Europe.
The public of Villa Erba has chosen the SS as the best car of green by assigning the BMW Group Trophy, the Best in Show of the concours.
The Lopresto Collection at Coppa della Perugina
The Coppa della Perugina was the occasion for the debut of one of the lasts purchases of the Lopresto Collection: one rare Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super is one of the most ancient existing car that is the 20th car built.
The Milan berlina, fresh from restoration, was beside a Lancia Flaminia Marica, prototype of 1969 created by Ghia and recently brought to the original appearance giving again new special wheels that it had at the Salone di Torino at the debut.
The Alfa Romeo 6C Pinin Farina wins at Concorso di Monza
In the weekend of 29 and 30 of April in Monza took place the third concours "Le Auto, l'Eleganza e lo Stile del XX Secolo" organnized by MAMS (Monza Auto Moto Storiche) with the collaboration of Registro Touring Superleggera and Scuderia Jaguar Storiche. The program has seen displayed the cars on saturday at the Villa Reale and the sunday in the oldtown of Monza, with a lot of public that admired the over fifty historic cars.
The Alfa Romeo 6C in Venice
The International Register Alfa Romeo 6C 2300/2500 has organized the XX gather "Le 6C 2500 Venezia e la Serenissima" that has brought together some of the most beautiful cars of the 40s. CrossRoads at the Museo dell'Automobile di Torino
Today 28th of March the CrossRoads exhibition will be inaugurated, which tells the artistic and cultural influences between Italy and the US that inspires the stylists of four wheels in the years between the post-war and the booming economy. The exhibit will remain open until the 25th of June and among the displayed cars, will be possible to admire 3 masterpieces from the Lopresto Collection: the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Cabriolet Stabilimenti Farina of 1947, the Lancia Aurelia Vignale of 1052 and the rivolutionary Lancia Florida Pinin Farina of 1955.
